I’ve been neglecting blogging for a while. Things have gotten a lot busier here at home lately, from swim lessons during the summer, Robbie starting preschool, Zach walking and starting to talk, the Holidays, and oh yeah, having a fourth child…
That’s right, in December we welcome Remington Leonor Saraiva into our home, she is the most beautiful baby girl ever, pictures will soon be posted for your viewing pleasure, and for those of you keeping score, yep, she’s baby number 4.
I also began a 365 project, for those that are not familiar with it, here’s a quick explanation of it:
Taking a photo a day is a big undertaking with big payoffs. Here are just a few reasons why you should consider doing it:
Imagine being able to look back at any day of your year and recall what you did, who you met, what you learned… (Often we find it hard to remember what we did just yesterday or even last night, let alone a whole year ago!
Your year-long photo album will be an amazing way to document your travels and accomplishments, your haircuts and relationships. Time moves surprisingly fast.
Taking a photo a day will make you a better photographer. Using your camera every day will help you learn its limits. You will get better at composing your shots, you’ll start to care about lighting, and you’ll become more creative with your photography when you’re forced to come up with something new every single day.
You can check out my 365 here.
Cheers,
Gui
We came back from our San Diego vacation (that will be my next post) to find that our grass had tried to overtake our yard by growing about 1 1/2 feet in one week. Instead of waiting until Saturday to get it done, i decided to tackle it on Wednesday, remember we’re in Arizona and it’s July. Eight trash bags later I was done, but I did have some help along the way…

I have really slacked in posting lately but I feel I’m over this hump and ready to get back into it. Everyone, this is Pilar… I’ve met some pretty ambitious people before but I have to say that she takes the cake. Not only does she play softball, and is heavily involve with her High School, but hopes to have a career where she will be putting CSI to shame. Enjoy.
Best of luck to you Pilar.
Cheers,
Gui
Too many thoughts going through my head right now to be able to get them all down on paper, or typed blog…. Zach turned 1 on Wednesday so we threw a little party for him this past Saturday. It has been so much fun to see him grow up this past year, he really is turning into a special boy who has nothing but love to give to those around him. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of the day.
Smart kid, he started opening his gifts by himself…

Gui Saraiva
We had a little time to kill before going over to some friends house yesterday. Robbie was up from his nap and ready to go, so I decided to take a few shots of him in the backyard. I have to say that he usually is not crazy about me taking pictures of him but for some reason it worked yesterday and he was more than willing to strike a few poses for his old man. Here are a few of my favorite shots.
Cheers,
Gui Saraiva
